After graduating from the University of Virginia in 2019, Averie began her career working in development at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. As a Development Officer, she raises funds from grateful patients and friends of the hospital to enhance care for pediatric patients and their loved ones. Averie is from Lynchburg, VA and grew up dancing at the Dance Theater of Lynchburg under the direction of Keith Lee. Averie joined the board of Carolyn Dorfman Dance in 2021. She is grateful to continue her passion for dance through being on the board and is especially looking forward to celebrating the 40th anniversary season.
