Brandon J. Jones has been a student of dance for 26 years. Trained in seven genres, he competed for 10 years both regionally and nationally, in addition to performing at the Count Basie Theater, St. Mark’s Church and Madison Square Garden, all by the age of 15. Brandon earned a full artistic, scholarship to the Conservatory of Performing Arts at Point Park University and completed his studies with a B.A. in dance. He has since danced works by concert choreographers such as Michele DeLaReza and Peter Kope (Attack Theatre,PA), Ron DeJesus (Hubbard Street Dance, Chicago), Kim Gibilisco; formerly of Alwin Nikolai-Murray Louis ensemble (KGDances, NYC), Cleo Mack (CleoMackDanceProject, NJ), Obediah Wright (BalanceDanceTheatre, NYC) and has toured to Vienna, Tel Aviv, Amsterdam, Moscow, Belgrade, Brisbane and Bucharest with dance music artist Crystal Waters. In 2012, Brandon began collaborating and performing with Mod Arts Dance Collective (NYC) and the Tiny Starr Productions Theatre Group (NYC). Brandon also teaches jazz, funk, jumps and turns and the style of lyrical and is honored to be have been an adjunct teaching artist at the NJPAC’s arts education department since 2014.
