DAWN SCHULTZ is a multidisciplinary artist and educator with an MFA in Choreography and a Ph.D. of Art and Design candidate at Liverpool John Moores University. Her current research investigates methods that merge visual art and choreography through Score reading and improvisational movement tasks. In analyzing various modalities one can engage with to design works, Dawn empowers movers in celebrating their ideas to explore personal creative voices.
Presently, Dawn teaches dance at Ocean Township School District and Monmouth University. She is the director of mignolo international screendance festival and has had her films accepted, screened, and awarded at film festivals across the globe. She presents workshops on her research methods to emerging dancers at colleges nationwide and educators at the National Dance Education Organization conference. Cultivating confidence and community, Dawn harnesses the power of moving together and brings attention to our shared humanity.
