Jersey City Theater Center presents "Carolyn Dorfman Dance & Hillary-Marie’s Sole Music Collective" at White Eagle Hall

White Eagle Hall

Two award winning and internationally acclaimed choreographers join forces for a thrilling afternoon of dance – New Jersey’s premiere modern dance company, Carolyn Dorfman Dance, and brilliant tap dance artist Hillary-Marie.

Carolyn Dorfman Dance will present excerpts of Sextet, a dynamic work based on the driving and evocative music of jazz composer and percussionist Horacee Arnold, and Snap Crackle Pop, Dorfman’s 2018 groundbreaking collaboration with Renée Jaworski, the co-Artistic Director of internationally renowned Pilobolus.

Hillary-Marie’ Sole Music Collective is percussive dance at its finest – music for the soul created by the soles of the feet. The company gives a visual to the rhythm we hear and a voice to dance that we see by approaching tap dance as a musical instrument and visual performance art with live music collaborations and a strong improvisation presence to culminate in the ultimate form of storytelling.

Spend an afternoon “Up Close and Personal” with crowd pleasing works by two dance innovators.
