Lovelines (2003)

share:

“…. new work that maps the exploration of one of the most fertile minds in modern dance. LoveLines is a joyous ramble through an all-too-human maze of longings, self doubt and frustrations that, eventually, ends in fulfillment – if we’re lucky! Dorfman has a great gift for using dance to explore the human condition.” - Observer Tribune

Lovelines explores the timeless search for love. With a backdrop of country western tunes by Lonestar, this full company work is interwoven with text and original music. Lovelines enfolds using song, poetry, newspaper ads and more, juxtaposing boisterous fun and poignant rejection. Through these “lines of love” the work reveals the truth about us all.
