On November 14-15, 2025, audiences joined Carolyn Dorfman and her company for “Sips and Stories” at Paul Taylor Dance East in New York City, a captivating evening of dance, dialogue, and discovery.
One patron said, “I absolutely loved the show! The storytelling in each piece was so strong and it was amazing how seamlessly everyone worked with the props and partnering. Truly outstanding!”
Here’s a personal message from Carolyn:
What a joy it was to welcome you to Sips and Stories at Paul Taylor East last weekend. Your thoughtful reactions, heartfelt observations, and curious questions brought such light to the experience—for me, for the Company, and for everyone in the room.
While mainstage performances hold their own magic, there is something uniquely meaningful about the closeness of this event; these pre-show gatherings—sharing drinks and conversation before entering the up close and personal world of the performance. The dancers and I cherish these moments of connection, where the boundary between artist and audience seemingly dissolves.
Thank you for filling our evenings with laughter, reflection, emotion, and joy. It is this deep shared humanity that inspires our work and fuels our passion to create and dance.
We look forward to welcoming you again at our upcoming performances. Until then, be well and take good care.
